Hemostatic Endoscopy Clip

Safety:  Conditional

Risks:  Thermal, Displacement

Conditions:

• If it has been greater than three weeks following implantation, the clip has likely passed and MRI may be performed.
• If less than three weeks, an abdominal radiograph may be obtained to ensure passage.

Bottom line: MRI permissible 3 weeks after implantation or after confirmation of passage on radiograph.
