Precision Spectra Spinal Cord Stimulator

Safety:  Conditional

Risks:  Thermal, Neurologic injury

Conditions:

  • A complete SCS system (IPG and lead), with no abandoned or broken leads
  • Lead tip below S5
  • Stimulator must be charged and turned off prior to entering MRI scanner
  • 1.5 T only
  • T-R head coil only
  • 200 t/m/s, 40 t/m or 4000 gauss
  • Check that each scan SAR does not exceed 3.2 W/kg
  • Charger may not be brought into Zone IV
  • Prior to entering the MRI scanner, turn stimulation “off” using remote control. Patient controller may NOT be brought into Zone IV.

Comments: Patient must bring controller with them to turn off the system
