Risks: Thermal, Neurologic injury
Conditions:
- A complete SCS system (IPG and lead), with no abandoned or broken leads
- Lead tip below S5
- Stimulator must be charged and turned off prior to entering MRI scanner
- 1.5 T only
- T-R head coil only
- 200 t/m/s, 40 t/m or 4000 gauss
- Check that each scan SAR does not exceed 3.2 W/kg
- Charger may not be brought into Zone IV
- Prior to entering the MRI scanner, turn stimulation “off” using remote control. Patient controller may NOT be brought into Zone IV.
Comments: Patient must bring controller with them to turn off the system
